In a significant step towards improving the conditions of nurses in Makueni County, the Chairman and the executive committee of the National Nurses Association of Kenya (NNAK) paid a visit to the county’s Governor, H.E Mutula Kilonzo Junior, CBS. The meeting, focused on addressing the pressing concerns and welfare issues facing nurses working in the county’s healthcare facilities.
During the discussions, the NNAK Chairman highlighted several key issues that need to be addressed to ensure the well-being and motivation of nurses.
In response, the Makueni County Governor expressed his commitment to improving the welfare of nurses and healthcare workers. He acknowledged the vital role that nurses play in delivering quality healthcare services to the county’s residents and pledged to take concrete steps to address their needs.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from both parties to develop a comprehensive plan to address the identified issues. .
