Let’s talk about patient safety

We are all concerned about our safety and security – patients and their families even more. Of course, as Nurses, we have specific measures to guarantee patient safety when receiving treatment, but we’ll always have concerns about the people in our care.

World Patient Safety Day calls for global solidarity and concerted action by all countries and international partners to improve patient safety. The day brings patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, healthcare leaders, and policy-makers together to show their commitment to patient safety.

As a Registered Nurse, this day reminds and reinforces my drive to bring nurses’ goal of bringing quality healthcare to every person in Africa to fruition. Let’s continue pushing forward.

Happy Patient Safety Day.

Cheers to every individual that contributes to the care and safety of the human race!
