Who we are

The National Nurses Association of Kenya (NNA-Kenya) is a professional association representing all cadres of nurses in Kenya who are drawn from practice settings, education, and research institutions. Established in 1968, we are duly registered under Cap 108 of the laws of Kenya. We have branches in all 47 counties across the country. We exist to promote excellence in nursing and midwifery.

Infection Control and Prevention Program

 

Aimed at reducing the incidence of both hospital-acquired and
community-acquired infections

HMS – BAB Project

 

This is a research intervention in
collaboration with FIGO and KOGs that builds the capacity of nurses to deal with cases of post-natal hemorrhage that is responsible for unwarranted loss
of lives of Kenyan mothers.

Universal Health Coverage (UHC)

 

Capacity Building for Nurses as advocates of Health for all through innovative health care models that make health care affordable for the actual realization of UHC

SAAF Projects

 

Projects that focus on reduction of the incidence of the alarming rate of unsafe abortions in Kenya by building the capacity of nurses to address all
aspects of unsafe abortion in the health care setup.

Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

 

Systems strengthening of nurses for the management of NCDs based on clear and standardized protocols and guidelines thus paving the way towards relieving significant health care gaps in the Country
